Qualifications

Candidate Requirements

Do You Qualify?

To earn the Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation, candidates must meet the following qualifications and successfully complete the NACFF certification process.

Professional Licensing

Candidates must hold a current and active financial services license (Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 66, insurance license, or equivalent) in good standing.

Clean Regulatory Record

Candidates must have a clean regulatory and disciplinary record, with no material adverse findings, complaints, or disciplinary actions.

Education Requirement

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree or additional professional designations are preferred.

Code of Ethics Agreement

Candidates must agree to abide by the NACFF Code of Conduct and Ethics and the principles of Good Faith, Care, and Loyalty.

Complete Training Program

Candidates must successfully complete the NACFF-approved fiduciary training program and pass the certification examination.

Annual Renewal

The CF2 designation requires annual renewal through continuing education and compliance with NACFF membership requirements.
